It’s not how you start the season it’s how you finish! If you wind up helping the team make the playoffs, that’s what you play for. You don’t play to put up your numbers, but to try to get a chance to make it to the World Series!
Spring ball definitely flew by like the snap of your fingers. I was super busy of photographing not only Frontier baseball but also photographing Wabash Valley as well. In the midst of working full-time job and freelancing full time in sports; I somehow found time to sleep. I did have a few weeks off due to mental health issues but I came back and pick up my camera back up and my teams gave me a big hug back.
Baseball showcases the highs and lows for 4 months as teams strive for first place and the championship. As a photographer, I build friendships with players and coaches, which helps them feel at ease in front of the camera. Getting the perfect shot often means being in the right place at the right time. If you can’t find a window, create your own.
Some highlights this spring include emotional moments from the mound and dugout, alongside joyful occasions like hitting the winning homer and taking pictures.

Thank you everyone for letting me invade your safe spaces and photograph your seasons, each moment encapsulating the beauty of change and the essence of your surroundings. The photographs that I’ve taken between these four months are ones that made me more confident in my ability and craft as an artist, showcasing not only my growth but also the stories woven within each frame. Through your trust and support, I have been able to explore new techniques and push the boundaries of my creativity, capturing fleeting moments that evoke emotion and connection.
All the love,
Cheyenne
